Speaking of thrifty things, I own what may be the most thrifty transportation out there. A little red scooter named Bettie. Now the rain that is pounding at my window does not play so well with scooter ownership, but come spring…. man I’ll be “beep beep-ing” my way through Austin’s streets. The gas runs me about $1 a week when I’m riding it daily and the parking is incredible. I’d reccommend it to anyone not overly worried about helmet hair!
