Little Red Vespa

In Chic, driving, travel on January 15, 2010 at 7:04 pm

Speaking of thrifty things, I own what may be the most thrifty transportation out there. A little red scooter named Bettie. Now the rain that is pounding at my window does not play so well with scooter ownership, but come spring…. man I’ll be “beep beep-ing” my way through Austin’s streets. The gas runs me about $1 a week when I’m riding it daily and the parking is incredible. I’d reccommend it to anyone not overly worried about helmet hair! Get more info at Vespa’s site if you are interested. And no, that isn’t me looking ever so sophisticated at la playa.

STA Notice Board

Looking for more savings on airfare? If you are a) a student, b) a young person (under 30) or c) a teacher, you are in luck.

STA Travel Association and Student Universe offer amazing deals on air, hostel and all travel related expenses. I flew round trip to london a few years ago for $300. Seriously. I did have to talk to them on the phone about the rates they quoted on their site, but it was an amazing deal. Check em out and tell me what you think.
